This hoodie has so much meaning behind it. On the front sports our simplistic logo of a “B” with Beach Bum Beauty under it. One the back it reads “#JUSTICEFORBUTEY. You may be wondering what this means and the significance of it. 

This is the backstory behind the hashtag. Our Owner, Ashley Burgos’s fiancé Kyshon Washington-Walker affectionately known as Butey was murdered in broad daylight on 7/28/22 on Sewell ave in Asbury Park NJ. He was a innocent victim. No enemies, no gang affiliation, NOTHING but minding his business, INNOCENT. His killer is still at large. There has not yet been an arrest for his senseless murder. We have been doing everything we can as a family to get him the justice he deserves. Encouraging the community to not be silent, if you saw something, say something, and put a end to the gun violence. Since his murder the Walker family has organized 3 peaceful marches throughout the city of Asbury Park. 1 for justice for Butey & secondly to stop gun violence in our hometown. We vowed to keep Butey’s name alive and give back to the city that he loved. We are in the process of organizing a non-profit in his name called B.U.T.E.Y which stands for Building Uniting Teaching Empowering Youth. Butey loved the youth and through this nonprofit his name will love on in the community and beyond. We are still seeking justice and our family appreciates the continued love and support from all of our friends and extended family. 

Butey was a major part of Beach Bum Beauty and our business will continue to ensure his name lives on as well. You may have seen him at events, in our instagram reels or stories, he would drop the packages off at the post office, even package and create. He was always behind the scenes helping in all business decisions. This is an extremely difficult loss to process, not just the fiancé to the owner Ashley, but a pillar in Beach Bum Beauty from the very beginning.

Every hoodie sold 50% of all profits will go directly to the non-profit B.U.T.E.Y.
